Why We Built This Site
Texas offers several routes to public criminal information, yet each route answers a different question. The Hemphill County Sheriff's Office holds recent booking, jail, incident, and other sheriff records. The combined County and District Clerk keeps filed cases, judgments, and dispositions at the Hemphill County Courthouse. The Texas Department of Public Safety maintains the statewide Computerized Criminal History system and the public conviction name search, while the Texas Department of Criminal Justice covers state custody. The Texas Public Sex Offender Registry is a separate DPS service. This site organizes those distinct channels, including their known request steps, contacts, fees, and limits.
